I was excited to find this in Saratoga. I love takoyaki, but was disappointed here. The sauces were good, but i wanted more bonito flakes and seaweed.
Probably the best price for value with Takoyaki in the Bay. Usually places overprice and underserve. This place loads you up Osaka style. Meal size rather than just an appetizer. Best Takoyaki since I came back from Osaka.
I don't think you have any alternatives in Bay Area anyway. But the takoyaki is too soggy.
I usually get the 10-piece regular takoyaki to eat with the miso ramen I get from Santouka ramen nextdoor. It's very authentic, and it tastes as good as the takoyaki I had in Dotonbori, Osaka. I especially like the red ginger. It's best eaten hot, right after it's made.
