The Elegant Pub - San Jose

10/1/23 Evergreen Inn is closed, Elegant Pub is open, available for private party.

The bar 's business has really slowed down since the adjacent Evergreen Inn shut down, but there 's still a limited menu of appetizers available.The regulars need to stay regular, and they need new custom, or I can see this place tanking too.Please come in, since it 's always been a fairly cool hangout, at the neighborhood atmosphere is still the same. Please don 't let it go away.

This bar is walking distance to our friends new home. We enjoyed watermelon white claw with rum. Bartender was super friendly and funny. Locals were really nice too. Can't wait to try the breakfast and the **** mary next time.

The pub is connected to a restaurant that had a band playing with karaoke. It was actually quite good and entertaining. Surprised such a place exists in a strip mall in Evergreen

My good friend wanted to see some of her friends play in their Mexican Punk Rock Band, and I said Girl, I am so down! We carpooled over and boy was I surprised!Parking outside wasn 't much of an issue for a busy Saturday night. At the door, we were carded and were let right in. The bar is on the left in the back. They can make most cocktails and have a fair selection of beers on tap. The bartenders are all very friendly. The venue is a little on the older side, but it has character. Wood finishing on some of the booths. The bar is massive and divey. To the right of the entrance is where there is the music venue. It 's a big open space with it 's own restrooms and space to dance. Again, not the most eloquent place, but a fun little venue! The band rocked out and the sound system worked well. The beer and cocktails were made well and the prices didn 't break the bank.Overall: The place itself isn 't quite Elegant, but you 'll have a fun time!
