El Tostador - San Jose

I would say the best thing this restaurant has it's the service. The staff was super friendly and patient. Food was ok, you get what you pay for and they gave us complementary ice tea so that was a plus. They have a coffee shop on the first floor, the restaurant it's on the second floor and there's a bar in the third floor. Location is really convenient and they had an elevator for the elderly that went to eat with us. Definitely a safe choice if you are looking for something to it in the heart of San Jose

The steak is average. Nothing great. The lemonade is disgusting. Too expensive. I wouldn't come here. McDonald's is better.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. Food was tasty, the place was cozy, and customer service was on point. It is a little noisy because it is located in one of the main boulevards in San José, but the view is great. You can go here for a quick hot or cold drink, take your laptop with you, and enjoy your time there with nice pastries and sweets.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The service was fast. Food was very tasty. Prices were so cheap (less than $20 for two lunches) Very very good.

I actually thought great coffee would be easier to find in Costa Rica. This place is on an intersection with two other coffee shops. I was shocked to find one of them, diagonally across the street, used a coffee maker. You're not a coffee shop if you use a coffee maker. In any case, make sure you look before you order to ensure you're not in the wrong café. But this....this is the right café. Freshly made coffee, very high quality. It's what I thought every coffee shop here would be like, but I'm happy that I found at least one
