Opa Cafe - San Jose

I love this place and the only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because the service even tough it is really good and everyone is nice they are just TOO SLOW! The coffee is amazing. Probably the best in Costa Rica. The traditional breakfast is one of my favorites but all the menu is great. I love the breakfast options better than the lunch, cocktails and drinks are also really good so for me it’s a really nice brunch spot with greenery and pet friendly!

Cute little cafe to grab breakfast! I got French toast, potatoes and eggs! The eggs didn’t have much flavor at all. The French toast tastes very good. I do think they could’ve been a little more attentive.

We just had breakfast there and it was wonderful! the food was very very delicious and the two waiters super friendly and nice. Thank you! will go back!

We had dessert and coffee, and both were great! It's a little loud because it's close to the street, but there are a few places to sit that further back from the road. Great place!

It was ok. The good: prices are very good because the plates are big and the food was delicious, we didn't wait a lot to get our food once we ordered and they brought us water. Location is very centric in the heart of the capital and the staff was friendly, they helped us in everything we needed. Decoration is very pretty and aesthetic. Kid and pet friendly. The bad: we made a reservation to go (not necessary because it was not full) and nobody knew about it. Tables are made for 2 people so if you come with a large group you need to put them together. More than one waiter came and took our orders so we had to repeat ourselves. Since it's centric, homeless people can come and ask for money while you are eating, specially if it's the terrace. Also, when we visited they didn't had physical menus only virtual ones.
