Racks - San Jose del Monte

Everytime my wife and I visit the San Juan area (specifically Greenhills Shopping Center), we like to try a restaurant where we've never eaten before. It's been 2-years since we last visited the Greenhills Shopping Center and came across Racks Chicken Restaurant featuring Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Corn and an assortment of other meals ready to be consumed in their large restaurant - both upstairs and downstairs. We decided to order for the four of us, Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Corn Bread Bisquits, Corn, Soup and, Ice Tea. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and, the food was excellent too. The downside was the Customer Service could have been better as there was only 1-waitress serving just us and another couple.

The consistency of the food is not there. I have tried a few Racks and it varies. The fish and chips and the steak are both disappointing. The staff (managers/supervisors) when complained they only know how to say "Yes Sir" and "Sorry". I wonder if they understood what I said. Avoid it

I have tried Racks in Pampamga, SM North Edsa and now here. I have tried their beef racks, rib eye beef steak, fish and chips, buffalo wings and salads. The fish and chips I tried in Racks Connecticut Carpark at Greenhills Shopping Centre was disappointing. It was soggy fish in the deep fried batter. I had to scoop the fish with my fork and knife. In my opinion this restaurant is now riding on their popularity of the past years. This is the 3rd time I am disappointed at the various Racks. Also there seems to be inconsistent in their preparation from Racks to Racks.Their baby beef racks and salads seems good with their homemade sauce.

Food is awesome still and you can purchase their sauce for $5.31. There were four of us and we ordered two orders of the half rack classic baby back ribs. Came with two sides each, no drink and a choice of either corn or garlic bread. Not a big fan of the bread but the meat falls off the bone! The sauce and garlic fried rice....very satisfying! Wasn't too crazy about the fries with the gravy as my fries were a little burnt but my friend's was perfect. We had mashed potatoes (CARBO LOADING!!!) which was really creamy and has no gravy so just used the gravy for the fries which worked out alright. The picture I'm putting on does not do justice to the flavors it has.

The foods' taste and portioning are western [American-given]. The barbeque sauce are great! Service was nice. Not extraordinary but not bad too. :)
