Their sisig may not be "authentic" and it looks like a heaping mess.. But its sooo good! I love the salty, spicy, and tart combination of the dish. Their greenhills branch also offers sinigang soup for free. LOVE IT! Super asim and flavourful. Sinigang and sisig - perfect combination. A meal for two for about 220php. Not bad at all ????
Pinoys love sisig! It's really part of our culture and a staple pulutan during drinking sessions! We even turned tuna and chicken into sisig as well, but nothing beats pork sisig in my book! So we were pretty excited to try Sisig Hooray at GH... I usually see Sisig Hooray at groceries or at food courts, so I was happy to see that this place is bigger than their usual branch... I was fully expecting that they will cook the sisig fresh, so we were kind of disappointed when we saw them preparing the sisig... Sisig, lots of pepper, a bit of chili, and chicharon, then pop it into the microwave... It's a bit disappointing to see that it's not freshly made when they have the facilities to do so at this branch... But, it's still the best tasting of the lot at this price range!
I like Sisig Hooray. Call it a guilty pleasure but it tastes good and it's addictive at times. It's fast food though so do not expect the food to be of super high quality. It is pre-cooked food finished with some vegetable toppings, chicharon and their spiced up sauce, mixed well and later on microwaved before serving with rice and calamansi. Although simple, the dish actually works and is being bought by many including myself. It's popular as it is cheap and one can ever order a barkada sisig for sharing.
Cheap Sisig. I thought it will be cooked in front of you, but not. Its one big deep fried liempo chunk then sliced into small pieces and they will put all the onions, chilis, mayo and chicharon powder(i think). After that, they will put it in a microwave and pre-heat. It will be served just like that and a cup of rice na di nakakabusog. Why 3.5? Cheap, clean and you cant go wrong with Sisig.
