Don't let the restaurant's facade intimidate you! I love dining here with my family and my boyfriend because it provides for a lovely, relaxing dining experience at a Japanese resto. Doesn't that sound neat? PROS: - Interiors are A+. It looks as if you're dining at a hotel! - The place is HUGE. Very spacious. - The whole setting makes up for at least half of the great dining experience at Wafu. - Food serving is suited for sharing. - Food is delicious. Tastes very authentic. - Staff are warm and welcoming! CONS: - A tad bit expensive than other Japanese restaurants (but you still get your money's worth here). - Can be jam-packed on holidays so make sure to reserve!
Outside the restaurant, you wouldn't actually know what to expect. Upon entering the place, it gave me this warm and cozy feeling both from the welcoming servers and the interior of the restaurant. It has this pseudo 2nd floor which looks like you're on a boardwalk. Ambience is a perfect 10. The food, beyond perfection. I have never tasted a tofu that melts in your mouth that way. I will surely come back! Maydard Mabini
Last night (Saturday 03 June 8:30PM) we ordered four 100 gram orders of US Angus ribeye steak, medium well. Worst mistake of the weekend. The steak was cold. It was tough. It was well done (no pink hue on the meat). At 900 pesos/100 grams. Absolutely horrid.
I've always seen this place beside Gloria Maris Greenhills and finally tried it coz of a promo. We ordered the Tuna Tartare, 5 pcs tempura, Beef enoki roll, Cha Soba, Spicy Salmon Roll (not in pic) and Tori Don. Their food was kind of bland, especially the Cha Soba and had to ask for leeks for the dipping sauce to add some taste in it. Their wasabi was different, not sure if it's good different or bad different but it's less up-your-nose spicy. I preferred the tuna over the salmon just coz it's tastier. Tempura had very sweet shrimp but the batter wasn't that astounding, could've been finer. Their beef enoki roll was good though. When dining here i guess go for the beef, since I think it's the best thing they sell there. They have a 999++/1200++ (weekday/weekend) all you can eat tepanyaki which is i think more worth it than what we ordered here. Ambiance however was beautiful if you're into that sort of thing. Very high ceilings and widely distant chairs from one another. Staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgable on their menu and food selections and also the promos they currently have.
