Pancho Villa - San Juan

Holy Guacamole I am in heaven! The BF and I came in, feeling indecisive, and the waiter took our tastebuds to happy town with her spot on recommendations. The sampler platter, which included a great selection of tacos, floutas, and jalepenos stuffed with chorizo, was so good, we ordered two! We split the skirt steak and left nothing behind on the plate. The beef was grilled to perfection and I seriously considered licking the plate, I couldn't get enough. Somehow, after all the food, we had room for dessert. Last but certainly not least, the fried cheesecake ended the night on the sweetest note. It was pure art how wonderfully crispy and creamy this dish was. Highly recommend this restaurant!

DO NOT COME HERE. The WORST customer service imaginable. Better said, no customer service to speak of. And the kitchen must have a single person, since after sitting for an hour and the food was nowhere to find. The restaurant is empty. The restaurant ran out of queso fundido, skirt steak and GUACAMOLE. A MEXICAN RESTAURANT RUNS OUT OF GUACAMOLE. This really is absolutely awful. Never again. A family member used to frequent here once a week. They will never be returning again. Lost a loyal customer, and I hope that with this review, no one has the misfortune of becoming one.

Chipotle salsa was amazing!!! My only regret is I didn't buy any to take home with me. Don't make that mistake, get some to go. The tacos were really good and so were the tortilla chips. We ordered more just to have more of that chipotle salso. Margaritas were great, flavorful, and perfect mix of alcohol. Came here for drinks /appetizers while waiting for our table at Jose Enrique. Next time I'm in town we're just going to eat dinner here. Honestly it was that good we'd skip the RIDICULOUS wait at Jose Enrique. Staff and bartenders are AWESOME and really friendly, super cool, and fun to talk to. They have about every kind of tequila you could imagine so come ready to have fun. Oh, and live music playing in the street so get out there and enjoy some dancing after your meal. Such a fun experience!

Mojitos are the best! I also got the quesadilla which was a safe choice for my kids. The beans and rice are seriously amazing! Make sure you make a quick stop here on your trip. It's filled with locals, but they are so nice!

TOURISTS BEWARE!!! Do not go to this restaurant! Had dinner early, 6ish, place was empty. Paid our bill, left a nice tip because we thought our server was nice. We left, 5 minutes later, server was chasing us down the street claiming we had not paid the bill. Someone probably a different staff member stole the off the table. Huge hassle ensues ruined our night. Do not spend on vacation to then run into trouble. Save yourself the trouble plenty of other places to spend your money.
