Feedback geven2nd time at the Oyster Shack. Both were fantastic. It’s a small space with limited seating but delicious.
Waited over 30 minutes to be greeted by our server. After that service was sparse. All in all such a sub par experience.. would never reccomend to a friend or anyone else.
Unfortunately we had a nightmare experience. We were told after 2.5 hours, kitchen was short staffed. Never got all our orders to eat even after that long wait. Ordered the crudo..raw salmon/tuna. Came to table. Asked for soy sauce. Went to check. 10 min later, sorry, bucket was kicked over, no soy. Ordered clams casserole. Very good dish but 2 of 13 clams didn’t open. Ordered clam chowder. Never came as cook thought he didn’t make it well so it was cancelled by them only after we inquired where was it? Ordered mahi mahi casserole, good but came 1 hour 40 min later. Just to be clear, we ordered everything at once. Also ordered their famous oysters…never came after 2 hour 30 min. I gave up and had to ask for the check. We did polish off a nice bottle of wine. No excuses for this poor service. No one should have to go through this. Ruins your night. Although waiter did bring out a complimentary appetizer, it was only after we were complaining, 1.45 hours looking for our dishes only to have some of it never show up in 2.5 hours. I had to go get the waiter as he rarely made eye contact with us in order to get our bill and leave. Understand that both these casserole dishes are the same broth. Just had to add clams/fish. Staff was very apologetic however I’d avoid this place at all costs.
Expensive for mediocre food. Served ketchup with oysters, no napkins at table. Listened to several homosexual men call white people and Puerto Ricans inappropriate names. Horrible experience.
We didn’t get our drinks until mid meal, asked for a second fork three times, no explanation for the oysters (which we heard them tell other diners). Oysters were fresh but small. Octopus was fantastic
