El Portal - San Leandro

The food was disappointing. Everything we ordered was excessively salty – the shrimp, enchiladas, and even the beans. The salads were soggy too. This was our second visit, as we wanted to give the restaurant another chance after an unpleasant experience the first time. I had really hoped to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a very poor experience.

I've been visiting El Portal Restaurant for over a year now, and I recently brought a friend along for the first time. He loved it so much that he now goes there with his own friends! The food and service are excellent, and I appreciate that I always know what to expect when I go there.

The best Mexican food around the bay. 100% recommend this place???

Verde burrito? with rice and beans on the side, 3 articles. The waiting period was a bit long, which is somewhat unusual, but the food was very good.

Took a while to get a takeout but the staff seems helpful. The one who served me didn't understand me, so I was left wondering if I got the right thing. It's was just two burritos but as it was busy had to wait. Just trying it out as it very close to where we live. The burritos are big and a lot of food. The food, was okay but prefer the shop up the road, it was tastier. I saw the prices on menu, but got just $6 and a few coins back out of $40. Everything here is so expensive, so not that impressed.
