Scends - San Leandro

The staff is incredibly friendly, exuding southern hospitality. The food is top-notch, with amazing greens and delicious mac and cheese. The turkey wings and peach cobbler are particularly good. Some suggestions for improvement: serve rice with the turkey wings like they used to, and reduce the sugar in the peach cobbler by 20% for perfection.

I don't know where to begin, the food at Scends II was incredible! The service was also exceptional, top-notch. It felt like receiving southern hospitality in the comfort of my own home. Anyone visiting Oakland must make a stop at Scends II.

This was my first time dining here, and the experience was amazing. The cocktails, pork chops, shrimp, potato salad, and greens were all divine.

So far I have tried the fried fish (tiltapia, snatch and catfish), truthahn wing, pork, green collar, potato salad and maisbrot from scends, and they were all delicious. the owner and the chef, dion, takes care of his customers, and I have always received a great service when I move in or out.

I have been a regular customer for many years. Though I live an hour away I visit at least 4 times a year. Love this food.
