Rounding up from 3.5 stars Uncle Wong's is always something I pass by when going to New Sang Chong, but never ordered from. I finally decided to try what they have to offer (thanks Covid times)! I called in my order for pick up and the food was prepared by the time I arrived. Order: -Peking style pork chops: Pretty good! The portion was incredible and there was plenty of meat. The meat was tender with a slight chew. There was a tang to the sauce which worked really well. Make sure you eat this with rice. You won't regret it -Honey walnut shrimp: Good as well, nothing awe-amazing. The breading was thicker than I prefer. The walnuts weren't coated in the honey mayo sauce. Uncle Wong is a pretty standard Chinese restaurant that offers fast Chinese noms.
Bye Bye Uncle Wong's !!!!!!! Closed!!!!!!!! Forever Gone!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to see you go!!!!
[Covid Review] My sister called and ordered family set dinner for 2 people. It cost about $45 include everything. We requested less oil less salt for our food. They mentioned need 20 minutes to get the food ready. And that's sound about right, after I shopped for groceries. Their shop took over Deli shop. And I went to their shop made the payment and picked up the order. I can see that they're busy during the dinner time. They packed well the food and nothing leaking out at all. The food we had were satisfied, we had broccoli beef, chow mein, small appertizer, soup of the day and sweet n sour pork. They didn't taste too oily or salty to us. And also not much MSG I guess, because I wasn't feel very thirsty after the dinner. This place definitely easy to get to go if you stop by here to go groceries shopping in New Sang Chong after placing the order.
I love Uncle Wongs! I've been coming here for years and always enjoy the food. I usually get wonton soup, green bean chicken with black bean sauce and Singapore noodles. The beef chow fun is good too! Right now they only offer take out, but I hope they open dine in soon. Orders usually take about 15 min and they're always friendly. There's always parking in the lot, and lots of other stores nearby in case you need some time to kill before picking up your order.
