On our two week stay in SF, we ate here twice. We had the steak arracheta, coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp, and shrimp diablo. The service was great and the food was very good. Only two restaurants in SF get stars from us. Baja Mar...and La Vaquita.
Really bad service, this place is overrated, waitress toke the order wrong and when we pointed she said they where out of the product that we ordered and she said if you don’t want it just leave it, Wednesday Give me a break! Order...beer and she never often another one!! Never coming back again!!
This is our first “dine out” place upon arrival in San Felipe! Alway fresh food and delicious margaritas!! Old school restaurant with a stellar location on the Malecon! Today we had fresh Yellow Tail Tuna!!!
We went searching for another good place to eat on The Malecon. We like Rice and Beans for breakfast and lunch, and La Vaquita for dinner. We wandered in to Baja Mar and took a shaded table on the deck overlooking the Malecon with warm...breezes from Mar de Cortez. The pleasant waitress was attentive and provided our drinks promptly. She waited a comfortable five minutes before asking if we needed more time., and brought chips, salsa and tuna pate'. We ordered, and waited only a pleasant ten minutes for our dishes, The Fajitas de Camaron were served on a sizzling plate with hot steamed tortillas, beans and rice. The Chilles Rellenos, hot from the kitchen and tasty, also served with beans and rice served in large portions. Iced tea was perfect, though the pina colada was a bit heavy on the coconut milk and light on the rum. We finished off with flan that was simply decadent. All in all, was quite reasonable for a romantic dinner, drinks and desert for two on The Malecon, serenaded by street musicians in the tradition of San Felipe, Baja Norte, Mexico.
