Black's Barbecue San Marcos

This was a great stop..atmosphere was excellent and the people were so friendly! The food was melt in your mouth delicious. Will be back on our next roadtrip. Oh and you must try the peach cobbler.

This is an excellent Texas BBQ restaurant. They offer a wider variety of side dishes than most places. I tried the beef rib, which was so large that it was hard to eat with my hands, but the meat was incredibly tender and came off the bone easily with just a little effort using a plastic fork. They also have the usual self-serve pickles, onions, and bread. The coleslaw was particularly delicious. There's plenty of seating available, and there's even someone to help clean off the tables.

Don't overlook this BBQ restaurant! And don't be misled by the name on the outside—it's definitely the same quality! Although we didn't get to visit the Austin location, we're thrilled they've expanded. The brisket was incredibly delicious and tender, thanks to the fatty cut! The ribs were so tender they practically fell off the bone and just melted in our mouths! The sides we tried were excellent too! If you have a sweet tooth, the cobbler is just right—not overly sweet—with plenty of dough and crust for those of us who love it! The apple pie/cobbler was also fantastic!

Incredible! I was craving some amazing barbecue and Black?s barbecue hit the spot! The barbecue and sides were delicious! Loved the ribs (their beef ribs- mouthwatering), turkey, pulled pork. Grilled cabbage, corn, and Mac and cheese ? yummmm! Everyone really friendly. Looking forward to going back! Thank you staff! Your restaurant made our day!

Recommended by a friend, had outdoor seating dog friendly) when we arrived the outdoor area was reserved for a private party but they let us bring our dog inside. Ordered the brisket, smoked, turkey, beef and pork ribs, slaw and mac cheese sides all amazing, the sauce was so good we have it in our home sold at the front) our dog was welcomed, loved and very happy to be w/ his peeps during lunch. Highly recommend Black's BBQ!
