Blackstone Pizza - San Marcos

The food here is fantastic, but the service leaves much to be desired. They tend to consistently overestimate their wait times. For instance, during my visit tonight, I ordered for pickup, and they quoted me a 30-minute wait. Knowing they often run late, I arrived 35 minutes later, only to hear the familiar excuse of, "We're just waiting on the wings." I stepped aside to wait, and after an additional 30 minutes, it seemed they had forgotten about my order. When I inquired, it took about another five minutes to get everything sorted out. What was supposed to be a 30-minute wait turned into an hour and ten minutes. I don’t usually write reviews like this, but this isn’t an isolated incident; it happens every time I visit. While this particular occasion was more extreme, I typically find myself waiting an extra 15 to 20 minutes beyond their quoted times.

We love this pizza. We love the vibe. Our typical order includes some combination of a jumbo cheese pizza, 14 pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, chicken strips with hot buffalo sauce, and a meatball sub. Now that we live out of the delivery area, we order take out. We've never eaten here since we mostly ordered delivery during COVID. It's always busy here because the food is so good. They always make it right if they feel like they're running a little late or make a mistake (rare occurrence). Awesome place!

Pizza Quality: 10/10, absolutely fantastic. It's clear that they primarily focus on takeout and delivery, but I chose to dine in. The owner and his staff were present, creating a great atmosphere. Just a heads up, the place lacks ambiance, but the pizza, sandwiches, and wings are top-notch. I’ll definitely be returning!

Perfect pizza. The best in the county. My fiance agrees and she is a strong pizza critic from New Jersey but Blackstone is what Pizza should be. Their crust and cheese is perfectly cooked and they are very generous with their toppings. Their wings are also very good. I usually get the Supreme but they have a lot of creative pizza creations I've never seen before that I look forward to trying. So glad we found Blackstone since moving to town few months ago. It's now our go-to pizza place.

Was originally planning to go to another pizza place which was closed. Found this place and sure glad we did. We dined in and ordered half cheese and half veggie. Pizza was great and reasonably priced. Pizza was fresh, tasty and warm out of the oven. The staff members working there were very accommodating and were busy with take out orders but they still made sure we were taken care of while dining in. Give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit when in town!
