Chili's Grill - San Marcos

Ive seen a lot of bad reviews about Chilis but my orders have been consistently good. The portions are generous, they always get my order right and the food arrives warm and delicious. I highly recommend the Lunch Combo Bacon Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It says its a half sandwich and I guess technically it is because its half a bun, but they still give you a full size chicken filet and tons of toppings, and it is really tasty.

The mini burgers were cruncy little brown discs sadly, the buns were yummy though The Southwest egg rolls wouldve been awesome with the correct sauce (avocado ranch) but they gave me 3 super thinned out "ranch" cups. Tip for the SWERs...throw em in the toaster oven to crisp them...

I got a bowl of potato soup and was disappointed by portions for the price and the fact the soup was stupid salty. Ordered the half order of bacon cheddar fries and the forgot the ranch. Cheese was also overcooked with the fries: Never had an issue with Chilis but this is just sad

Cold. looks like 6oz not 10oz and fries are barely together

We didn?t come to Chili?s expecting fine dining, just a quick and cheap meal. We got neither. Only giving 3 stars because our server was awesome and super apologetic. He was clearly doing his best with an understaffed and poorly managed restaurant. As agroup of 5, we were seated at a long wood table that rocked a SIGNIFICANT amount. Enough to where we were knocking things offthe table just by leaning or bumping the edge. The napkins shoved under one leg tells me that it?s a known issue managementshould not let things that simple slide. It?s an easy repair. We all ordered the ?3 for me? deal (RIP 2 for $25. I orderedchips and salsa and my friends all ordered options with queso. My chips and salsa came out 10 minutes later. Good thing it?sendless, because it took close to 40 minutes for my friends to get their dips. Our entrees came out immediately after, so afternearly an hour we had a table full of appetizers and entrees all at once. This wouldn?t be so bad if the entrees weren?t,somehow, cold. The salsa was flavorless tomato water and the skillet queso can be explained by the photo alone. Since Chili?sis no longer quick nor cheap, not worth a visit back.
