Hat Creek Burger Company - San Marcos

We just heard about this place and were excited to check it out. I'm so glad we made it! The menu is quite limited that we have taken as a good sign that they focus on making really good hamburgers. Obviously they are because the burgers were excellent. My daughter had a little hat that is a single Patty Burger. The rolls are roasted or grilled, and there is only an additional little bit to the texture of each bite. The taste of the burger itself was excellent I had the Southwest Burger, which is its spicy version. It was really good. Jalapenos and yellow bird sauce along with pepper Jack cheese gave him a really nice kick. The French fries and perpetrators were really good, but nothing above the top. You might want to think about some additional season options. Hat Creek has a number of signature sauces available. I tried all the sauces from the self-service counter and the only one I really liked was the happy sauce. I would recommend trying them all, although none of them is really bad. Overall we had a great lunch and would like to go back at any time.

The first bite of this burger was so damn juicy and tasty. I loved this burger. That's one of the best I've eaten lately. We took the classic and Fredrick's Burger. The classic has bacon in it and it was crispy and amazing. Fredricks Burger has a touch of spicy and tasted amazing. You have beer and the discovery beer was good. This even has a beautiful playground for children. I'm going to visit this place if I'm ever in Austin.

Friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The food was well prepared and quite delicious. We will definitely reappear in the future.

I love this place. Great burgers and dead for lunch. Never very busy during the lunch break during the week

You gotta, gotta, gotta, try the burgers! And the fries are awesome also. A jump up from fast food, but quicker than a waiting on a waitress or waiter. I like the convenience of serve yourself condiments, fountain drinks, tea, napkins and utensils. Our party of 8 enjoyed laughter and conversation on an large picnic table and felt right at home! The children actually enjoyed their meal and and then burnt off the energy on the very nice and safe tree house style play area . BONUS... It won't hurt the wallet!!!
