Service is always great, food is fast, drinks are good I'm just not a fan of the Food so that's why they get a 4. It's my opinion but everything else is fantastic.
We thought the restaurant looked good, but the chicken was over cooked and bland. My husbands's fried jalapeños were over done and tasted greasy. My margarita tasted like fake lime juice. Overall I give this place 0 Stars!. The smell of the restaurant was musty. Pretty disgusting!!
Milagros is closing tonight. So we went there last night on their second to last evening at this location. Even though we had 20 people in our group, the food was good and the service was excellent. Our server managed to keep everything straight despite the big crowd. We are hopeful they will reopen in San Marcos or new Braunfels soon
Our first visit to Milagros. Beautiful Spring day, and we went for a early dinner. Just a few tables were occupied on the big front covered deck, and only one couple eating inside. We decided to eat outside. Menus were accessed by using a QR code posted on a table stand. Our table was topped with a festive floral oilcloth cover, but it had not been cleaned. Chip crumbs and bits of rice were still visible. When we wiped it with a napkin, it was BLACK with dirt so clearly the cover had not been sanitized in quite some time. Not good in general, but especially not during a still active pandemic! Servers were all very young and wore masks, but apparently were not well trained. Our server had to return multiple times for things we asked for in the beginning: sweetener, water, extra salsa. She did not refill drinks and asked if we wanted our check when we were barely halfway through the meal. The food: not bad! Crispy chips and a non-spicy tomato salsa were provided upfront. The queso dip was very thin but had a very good flavor. A DELICIOUS blackberry margarita was generously sized. We ordered different versions of enchiladas and both were good. Rice and refried beans were OK at best. Unfortunately the food was served lukewarm, and since we were sitting outside in a breeze, everything quickly became cold. Flavors were tasty, but the lack of heat really lowered the experience. At the end, our server didn't ask about the meal or thank us at all. What could have been a GREAT experience in a really cool setting turned out to be lackluster overall.
This was my choice for a birthday dinner. I've passed this location many times and wanted to try it. I ordered the Milagros Fajitas: shrimp, chicken and beef. It was wonderful. Our service was nice too. I will definitely be returning!
