Feedback gevenVeggies and meat were scarce and the whole pizza was undercooked. Also, the zucchini was raw, not even al dente. Too much bread. I hate to write a bad review, but I have to be honest. hopefully this was just a one-time, rare type of thing. I dont think I want to give it another chance, though.
Order 1/2 sheet pfefferoni and 1/2 sheet clam and garlic. no din in option, but pizza is ready in 20 minutes. friendly service and they brought pizza to the car as it took a few minutes longer to cook. on the drive to home, they can smell the clam and garlic. the crust on this pizza was excellent, not soggy or smokey. pepperoni was very good. the clam and the garlic wake up the garlic. they can taste the mush. I think the garlic was a bit strong and had something too much zilantro. except that it was a good pizza. slices are quite large and most of my children ate two slices. I had 3 discs and was filled. this pizza is not her usual pizza, so it is hard to compare with other pizzas. but it surpasses most of the pizza I have ever ordered.
Love the clam and garlic taste! order the delivery during the pandemic and still very tasty.
Updated review 1/12/2022: what I love about golden boy pizza is her oily focaccia brotteig. it absorbs all the alcohol in its system after a night from the drink. their pizzen are seasoned with Italian crumbs. tonight I got what all the others got, 1/2 sheet combo, half clam garlic $31. both pizzas are made with their red tomato sauce. the combo is what runs in the rule first when it is located in the line at its north beach location. that happened to me in many places that people do not order the combo before me. the clam garlic has this beautiful raw garlic burning and is not recommended when they are on a date. this location is cool because they call and the pizza is in approx. 15 minutes ready to never walk out of everything. great staff at golden boy pizza! original review: I can say nothing about golden boy pizza that has not been said yet. their pizzas are great and this is beyond competition. I had her garlic and combo today. $58 for two 1/2 sheet without tipp.
Finally we get a piece of North Beach right in the Peninsula! You get the same quality of pizza with that familiar taste without having to drive and brave all that is SF to get a whole pie! I find the pepperoni tastes better (it's got more spice) in San Mateo than in SF. The clam and garlic has the same familiar taste and feel as well.
