Peet's Coffee Tea - San Mateo

This charming little café is conveniently located on the corner, making it easy to find. The interior features a warm brown color scheme and has a simple yet elegant design, showcasing smart use of wooden materials. We tried the tea based on the hostess’s recommendation, and it was excellent—especially the bay leaf and clove teas. They had just the right amount of milk and sugar, perfectly flavored without being overwhelming.

The coffee is absolutely delicious, the service is very friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic!

Yes, it was good. Surprised? Not really. My only complaint is that the espresso machine has been replaced with an automatic push-button one, which makes it take almost as long to get your coffee drinks as it did when I worked there years ago with the manual machine in Palo Alto that required training. But overall… it was good.

They’ve included this blower mechanism above the entrance/exit, does anyone know why? Hey were all for keeping fly’s out. But imagine dressing up your just purchased hot bev., and all of a sudden, it's power blown. Not hot anymore. Besides that, they get 5 stars easy. GO DODGERS!
