Try the pork tostada. It is served with what appears to be pickled onions that compliment it perfectly. Dessert was either orange cake or chocolate with strawberry and kiwi. The decor is very simple but they have put their heart into their food. Heading down the hill on Conde de la Canal, it is on your left hand side. So small, it's easy to miss. Don't!
The owners come from San cristobal de las casas, where they have been in the restaurant business for over forty years. this small restaurant is located on the south side of the canal, a few doors of san antonio de abad. panes artesanales catches my eye...initial; otherwise this restaurant would have gone unnoticed. four tables, dressed in shocking pink, make a cheerful afterbarity place. over three days we had the ensalada mixta, ensalada verde, chalupas coletas and panuchos. the salads are dinner size, a lot of salat dressed with just the right note of agridulce dressing, and ranked with the best in san miguel de allende. the chalupas coletas boast carrots and boiled and make them a refreshing and healthy change from the usual rate. have I mentioned the agua de lima? this place has become my new restaurant for Mexican cuisine in san miguel. you will not go wrong to come here. the restaurant bakes also pan de coco con ron, pan de zanahoria con manzana, chocolate bread, beer bread, cheese bread and banana bread. and of course, Pan-Integral. but wait – there is more! the owner is an ingenious host, and their Go-to-man, if they want to know everything about chiapas and san cristobal de las casas.
