El Rincon de Don Tomas

This place has seen better days. I have eaten here regularly at my visit in san miguel, usually at an early stage. this time was lunch when the limited offer was prepared with mediocrity and the waiters were rude. the only positive is the situation. in the jardin, but there are some other possibilities for it.

Do not eat here, eat mediocre and service insouciant. if they only want a coffee or water, they can observe the shadows and the people in the plaza. they can only have alcohol with food.

After a long wait of not being offered chips and salsa, like every other table, and having to get attention to order, the food was just as bad, and expensive. But good location.

We've been at El Rincon de Don Tomas four times for breakfast in the last week. The spot is great you are on the square, looking at the church and everything that is going on in the gardens. The bread service that comes with...all eggs is excellent. The service is attentive. And there's always something happening around you. I recommend it!

I see that this place has received some less positive reviews, but I just finished eating here and I was super impressed! I had the chiliquiles with arrachera (castle) and it was surprisingly delicious! the sauce over the tortillas was delicious, the beans were...delish, but the star of the show was the steak. it was a real gamble for me to order this as most restaurants it can be dry, chew and tasteless. but this was juicy, melt-in-your-mouth delicate, and packed with really amazing taste of a type marinade. the service was also super fast and friendly. most caffes like this, right in the heart of a tourist area at the corner of the main square, are best marginal, knowing their location means that they get the business and so they don't have to try hard, but this place was absolutely worth the visit and the prospect right in front of the cathedrale is a bonus!
