Feedback gevenThere was one time I ordered a club sandwich with just turkey and bacon, making sure to exclude ham. To my surprise, the sandwich I received contained only ham and no turkey. This indicated a significant breakdown in communication. It's frustrating because it gives the impression that the owner is not committed to providing quality service, which can damage their business reputation. If the owner were more receptive to reasonable complaints about order accuracy, missing condiments, and an overall lack of attention to detail, I might change my perspective. Constructive feedback can be valuable. Initially, the owner's tone wasn't particularly accommodating, and repeatedly calling me "buddy" felt condescending, making it difficult to express my concerns without interruptions. Despite these difficulties, I do appreciate some aspects of the restaurant. Their burritos are delightful, and when their pancakes come with syrup, they're a treat. The French toast and omelets also meet expectations. The only real letdown was the ham sandwich, which came with what appeared to be stale, hard, and crispy fries. Today, I ordered another breakfast burrito—my fifth order here—and French toast. I requested a side of salsa and a side of sour cream. When my food arrived, I had salsa, but no sour cream and yet again, no syrup for the French toast. As I mentioned earlier, this has happened multiple times with my waffle and pancake orders. I called to address the issue because I'm someone who might stop coming altogether after these repeated oversights, even though I really enjoy their food and see potential in it. When I explained the situation, the owner defensively told me I hadn't paid for sour cream. I told him I needed him to either charge me for it or ensure it was available to order. His response was immature and felt really childish, and it reflected poorly on his communication skills. I mentioned that there was no indication I could get a side of sour cream, and I would gladly pay for it if it were an option. Instead of addressing my concern, he was dismissive, speaking to me as though I was trying to take advantage of him over a side of sour cream, when all I wanted was to enhance my meal. Eventually, he apologized, but it didn’t seem sincere, and I really hope I don’t have to engage with him again. If it remains unpleasant, I won’t return. No dish in the world is worth going to a place that doesn’t respect or appreciate its customers. My intention was to be polite and encouraging, hoping he'd be more diligent about checking orders to ensure customers receive everything they pay for. Not being open to that feedback is concerning for someone in his position as owner. My main desire is consistency. I genuinely like this place due to its location and the potential it holds. I would love to continue supporting them if they can address these issues and work towards a more reliable experience.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is incredibly delicious, and no matter whether you visit for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can always expect exceptional dishes. Every order is prepared fresh, making it feel like a home-cooked meal without the effort. The owner is friendly, relaxed, and really easy to talk to. If you’re in the San Pedro area, this is definitely a place you must visit!
The restaurant is small, but we are really glad we decided to visit. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious—plus, the coffee was great! We ordered the chile verde chilaquiles, which were fantastic, and the eggs Benedict, featuring a nice thick slice of ham. Everything was so tasty! We're definitely going to return!
From the time I arrived the woman was unpleasant. She didn’t hide her frustration when I asked questions about the menu. The guy was much more patient in explaining the menu. I found something that looked like ceramic floating in my water and then as inflected one of my pieces of the fried tortilla from under it a gnat emerged. In addition the pancakes looked like they were microwaveable not made from scratch…it was such a disappointment, and the coldness from the woman didn’t help. I did notice when other people came in she had the ability to smile. I’m not sure what I did but I definitely did not feel welcome.
Yum... this is a great place for a delicious breakfast... One of us had the eggs Benedict... amazing... I had had the Ram Omelette... oh my goodness... so good. This is by definition a hole in the wall diner that is worth the stop...
