Bar Rest. Malibu - San Rafael Abajo

I love this bar! Just a heads up, most of the girls here are actually working. But everyone is really friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. They have a great jukebox and cheap, tasty drinks. This is my go-to spot in Barrio Amon. It may look a bit sketchy, but it's actually a fun and safe place to hang out. Pura Vida!

I was introduce to Theo’s Malibu Bar by a friend over a year ago. This has now become my favorite watering hole with delicious menu choices. Their daily special are hard to beat and gets me returning for more.

This is a fun bar with a pretty darn good restaurant. At least the food was tasty. Lotta old gringos visit here and they're a hoot to talk to. Prices are great. Good spot for lunch suds.

I have been living in Costa Rica for 8 years, and I have visited Bar Malibu both before and after the new owner took over. This place has significantly improved under new management, with a revamped food menu offering competitive prices and improvements to the kitchen, bar, and washroom areas. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and there is always someone available to provide information on San Jose or Costa Rica. The mix of expats and locals creates a vibrant atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy a drink or meal either in the afternoon or evening. They have big screens to watch local and international sports events such as the Super Bowl or Premier League Soccer. I want to thank the staff and friends at Malibu for making my time in Costa Rica so enjoyable.

Came here at lunch time for a few beers, barmaid very chatty and helpful, beers cold. They do serve food but had eaten already. Great music selection. Will be returning!
