Zachary's Chicago Pizza - San Ramon

Their special pizza is absolutely the best! It 's a real pie crust filled with veggies and cheese on the bottom and a rich bolognese on top.

I bought a large pizza at Zaks last week. While driving home I was cut off by a bicyclist having to slam on my brakes...the large pizza launched out of the seat and onto the floor board. I was pretty mad but was glad nobody was hurt. I gathered up what I could salvage of the pizza, returned to Zaks and explained what happened. Loren the manager on duty at that time. She immediately took charge of the situation, ordered another pizza of the same type and replaced the pizza at no extra charge. She was very compassionate and understanding. A true professional. She went above and beyond and out of her way to make an otherwise bad day good! Because of Loren is the reason I will always go to Zaks. It's the best pizza in NorCal and have great people like Loren. Bravo! Zaks!

Chicago pizza in San ramon? Gotta try it right? It's one of those places that you try but then you won't crave it for awhile. Not that it's bad, but it's just one of those heavier foods. The pizzas are full of flavor and full of toppings but there was just one thing that I didn't like, the overload of canned tomatoes. The crust is nice and crunchy, while not being overly thick. Overall a pretty nice Chicago pizza place.

Yelp should say moved rather than closed . Zachary 's is on Main Street in Pleasanton now. Great pizza.

Food of the gods. I have been hosting parties at my house/apt since early 1990s, and Zach's is the best pizza, works great with champagne, fancy enuf for the UC/Ivy crowd, and most kids love it too.
