Manta Rey - San Simeon

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner. Miguel, the owner, warmly welcomed us and seated us right away. We started with some delicious fresh coconut shrimp and a couple of ice-cold beers. I enjoyed a rich and flavorful bowl of clam chowder. For my main course, I had the special of the day: snapper, accompanied by mashed potatoes and fresh steamed vegetables. Lydia opted for shrimp Alfredo with pasta. I must say, everything was perfectly cooked and bursting with incredible flavors. To top off our meal, we indulged in a decadent chocolate cake for Lydia and I chose the house special orange ice cream. If you find yourself in San Simeon or just passing through, we highly recommend stopping by for a five-star meal. Be sure to tell Miguel that Lydia and Robert sent you!

I just enjoyed the Chicken Piccata and absolutely loved it. The flavor of the sauce was spot on. I only wish there were more artichokes in the dish. I'm currently staying at the Quality Inn located behind the restaurant, and my meal was ready just 15 minutes after I placed my order.

This restaurant is magical. Amazing appetisers with the best bread ever, great fish and most fresh sea food you can find in Israel. Strongly recommended.

We began our meal with delicious sourdough rolls and steamed clams, which were fantastic. The cioppino and sand dabs were exceptional as well! This place is a hidden gem just outside of Cambria. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip.

The service is a bit slow, but that's not necessarily a downside. Just keep that in mind before you visit and be patient. It's a cozy little restaurant, not a fast food joint, so take your time and enjoy the experience. I ordered the Alfredo pasta, and it was fantastic. The sauce had a unique twist compared to traditional Alfredo, and I can't quite put my finger on the flavor. Some might prefer the classic version, but I encourage you to give it a try. My husband had the fish and chips, and although the fish was slightly flaky, he really enjoyed it.
