Small, quiet family run. Wonderfully fresh ingredients.
Great local restaurant. They are smaller, so if you're going on Street Taco Tuesday $1 Street Tacos) be patient! Salsa was good. Queso was good. Street tacos were great! Small selection of bottled beer. Friendly staff, will definitely be back to this place.
Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience in El Nopal. Last Saturday we wanted to try a new Mexican place. After ordering the waitress said if we could make our order online we could save 10%. So I did online and tried to order the same thing I had already said to the waitress. We ordered steak and chicken feathers. However order on their website when you choose? Mixed Fajitas? there is no place where you do not want to accept shrimp in comments. So I pull the Fajitas, and there is no way to choose which meat, so I said in the notes that we wanted Steak and Chickenfajitas. Then we ordered a wet burrito, a quesadilla no acid cream or pico and 2 sides of rice. When we got the order, I found two mistakes. 1) there was only one side of rice. After waitress, they put both sides in a container. Although I found it strange, two different peoples eat in the same container, no big thing, I can separate this at home. #2 The Fajitas were only Steak. So waitress goes and asks managers/owners about it. He said it wasn't mentioned on the slip that we wanted to mix. I explained that the waitress I didn't just tell her I put her in the notes. She went back and told us managers that he didn't print the notes, but that we should have selected mixed Fajitas. I showed the waitress on her website there is no way to choose meat or seafood. Since we have a seafood allergy in the house, we have not selected the mixture. I also pointed out that he must? ve printed the notes because they put the note, no acid cream or pica on the Queensadilla. Waitress goes back to manager/owner and he said he can also give us chicken, but it costs us extra $7.99. I asked why it would cost us another 8 dollars if on the menu the price difference between regular and mixed Fjita is just $2.00. She said we had to buy the complete regular record again. I said I wanted to talk to the manager. His first excuse not to talk to me was that he didn't speak English. I said I'm fluent in Spanish. Waitress went and spoke to manager/owner again and told me that he refused to speak with me and if we wanted the chicken, we had to pay the additional 8 dollars. I told her I understand I have to pay for the chicken, but not for a whole part. I have proposed that it could have been solved by giving us only a little chicken and charging us the difference between the two plates, and I think it is very unprofessional that he would not speak to us. To complete it: My queen was burned, the fajita meat was crispy, and the burrito had zero taste. 0? from my family.
The food is amazing and the service is excellent. Best Mexican food and one of the best restaurants in Sand Springs. Ignore negative reviews, those people probably think El Chico's is good food.
