From the coastal path you walk up a very steep hill, through a very steep campsite and eventually you are there. I consider myself quite fit but even I was out of puff! But the cafe was clean, the staff welcoming with a nice menu to choose from. We had a ham and cheese sandwich which I forgot to take a photo off. But I must say it was probably one of the best sandwiches we’ve had.
Lovely place and food would be nice to have tea in a pot with spare hot water but otherwise excellent Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: blt Sandwich and Chips
We were staying on site and had breakfast one morning and some drinks in the afternoon. The stotties were very big and really nice, as were the cakes. Thanks! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Since Mad Mary's stopped serving in Sandend, we thought we had lost our favourite place to go for a burger in Whitby. But thankfully Coast Cafe Bar under their new management are now producing the best chicken/beef burgers in Whitby (in our opinion), they are absolutely delicious! Myself my wife tried the chicken sriracha burger the bacon cheeseburger both were excellent quality flavour. The cafe is beautifully decorated inside the service was great too. Highly recommended. Well done guys!
