We were just passing through North Carolina and decided to stop here, but the carne asada was disappointing—it didn't taste or feel like authentic carne asada; it was more like the meat you'd find in a steak and cheese sandwich, almost resembling ground beef. The pupusas were also not very good at all.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while attending a car show, and it turned out to be some of the best Mexican food I've ever had—definitely authentic Mexican, not Tex-Mex. While it may not be the quickest service, the wait is absolutely worth it. I think there's a porch on the house behind the building where you can sit, but I usually eat in my car since I'm often on the go in the area. I love this place! They have a fantastic selection, and I highly recommend it. Service: Takeout.
