While the restaurant mainly serves meat dishes, we were pleased to find a delicious bean bowl in tomato sauce that was completely vegetarian. In addition to beans, they offer a variety of vegan options such as cooked vegetables, filled grape leaves, and a salad bar with vegan options. They also have a yogurt-based cold soup for lacto-vegetarians and serve Ayran Turkey, a popular salty yogurt drink. The restaurant is located in Piazza Mall, across from the government archeology museum, and offers excellent value for a meal. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Though slightly pricier than local restaurants in Şanlıurfa, Kayseri Mutfağı's vegetarian options are worth it. Highly recommended.
As it is very difficult to find a vegan restaurant in this area, we were very relieved to find Kayseri. During the weekends, we came for dinner and could rely on getting delicious vegan dishes.
We were thrilled to discover Kayseri Mutfağı, where we dined every day for a week! While the restaurant mainly served meat dishes, it was rare to find a place in Eastern Turkey that offered vegetarian options besides baklava shops. We were delighted to find fasulye, a delicious bean dish in tomato sauce that was vegetarian. Additionally, Kayseri Mutfağı always had at least one vegan option per day, such as filled grape leaves and rice or pilav. They also offered a yogurt-based cold soup for lacto-vegetarians, as well as ayran, a popular salty yogurt drink. The restaurant, located in the Piazza Mall across from the Government Archaeology Museum, was clean with friendly and helpful staff. We left happy and satisfied each day with our meals at Kayseri Mutfağı, as we struggled to find other vegetarian-friendly options in the area.
