Don Carlos has amazing food and excellent staff that is very helpful for the non Spanish speakers. The menu has great variety and flavorful food. Walking distance from the Plaza de Armas! I highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are looking to eat where locals eat and also looking for quality at a small price, seek out this place for lunch. The "menú" changes daily and this set-price meal includes starter soup, your choice of entree, and a glass of chicha morada (purple corn drink). The menú is advertised on a board outside for passersby, typical of many places. Great rustic atmosphere and it was bustling with people coming in and out at lunch hour. Menu in Spanish but may of the staff speak English and are very friendly.

The food was decent and they were willing to cook breakfasts and dinners for a group. The place is so busy that it is hard to get service. The hotel needs updating. The restaurant is decorated to look like the inside of a cavern.
