We got a prickly pear margarita- I didn’t taste any tequila and the prickly pear flavoring was extremely mild and it came out warm! How does a margarita that’s supposed to be on ice served warm?!? My husband got the green chile cheeseburger and fries- fries were awful. They were fresh and hot but tasted like bottom of the line freezer burnt fries. Burger was ok. I got the chicken tortilla soup . DO NOT GET THIS. $12 for 4 ounces of soup, bag frozen mixed chopped vegetables and one slice of avocado on top even though the menu said sliceS of avocado. Literally bagged frozen mixed vegetables like you get from the store of Celery, corn chopped carrots. Thats it! No onions- no cilantro, no lime, no green chile, no shredded cheese and Two small chunks of pressed chicken. It was Awful. The flour tortilla that comes with the soup is the size of a street taco and had zero flavor- It was like I ate styrofoam. I wish I would have headed to the 3.8 star rating. We sat on the balcony which has a nice view of the plaza however, the table was filthy. You sit right next to the white wood ledge of the balcony and that was filthy as well. And not with dirt that blew in but grime from peoples fingers. They sat us down as soon as the person removed the plates and never wiped the table off. There was grime and food stuck on the sides of the table ledge. Just overall no.
Brought wife up from Las Cruces for the first time. Very familiar with NM culture and food. Sat on the roof top patio which was nice but was away from the rail. Once a couple paid and left their seats by the patio, since I had not ordered yet, the wife and I decided to move over a table close the the rail for a better view. A server came out and observed us. I smiled at him and said we just moved over a table if that was okay. 46 years old and it’s been a while since being scolded for doing such an “awful” thing as to move over a table. The wife and I didn’t know as this was our first time there. The chips and salsa are very similar to Chili’s family restaurant. Not impressed with being a local restaurant. Won’t be back.
I recommend that the management conduct process improvement regarding the service. The food was excellent , however, several service deficits exist. On 7/19/24, Charlieg (or other staff) made several errors. First, I asked for a salad in place of the french fries. I did not receive the salad as requested. I feel very strongly about wasting food, so I did not ask for the fries to be returned to the kitchen as they would be thrown away. I ate the fries rather than requesting the salad. Secondly, my burger should have come with the garlic aioli. It was missing from the burger and I had to ask for it. Thirdly, I asked that my burger be cooked medium rare and it arrived fully cooked. Once again, I hate to waste food so I ate the burger as it was delivered to my table. Finally, the bill I received was incorrect. I was dining with a companion and our orders were incorrectly listed on our separate bills. I resolved this by paying cash for my order and giving my companion the extra cash for the items that were incorrectly listed on her bill. You will have satisfied customers if servers pay careful attention to customer order requests to ensure that the food delivered is correct, there are no missing sauces, the meat is cooked to the customer's request and the correct bill is calculated.
Some friendly staff! Try to get a seat on the patio if the weather is nice! The Atlantic salmon plate is my go to! The food is phenomenal and so are the drinks!
Came here on a whim during our trip to santa fe, dizzy from nausea and hunger. ordered the wilted spinach salad bistro steak. goat cheese, “chorizo sauce”, fresh radish, portobello mushrooms, etc. do you ever eat a delicious salad and suddenly feel like you are experiencing true bountiful wealth, not just masquerading behind a calculated fancy outfit? that’s how i felt when i began to eat … while i waited for my food i heard a loud and condescending man at the adjacent table denouncing my choice... “wilted spinach, could you make it sound any less appealing?” but it was delicious….! wonderfully balanced flavors and texture. perfect amount of each component so you aren’t left with a heap of spinach at the end. a generous amount of meat (though the picture doesn’t convey how filling it was). only tried 1 dish here so giving 4 stars to be safe…my boyfriend got the mole enchiladas and really enjoyed it as well. quite expensive for my budget but i would do it again if i could!!!
