Feedback gevenServer was great? I had the spaghetti blog and friend had the meat dish. The spaghetti Bolognese completely lacked taste and the meat loaf was left with dried oregano leaving every bite of stachend oregano, not to mention was a small portion. It was the first time my friend left him with an unpleasant experience. My salad was good, but the rest stayed for a ?deflated? Experience.
There are much better places to go to Santa Fe for lunch!!! Do not go if you travel with a well-behave, licensed, registered service dog. They put us at the back of the bar through a constantly swinging door and besides hanging up the server. We had asked for a stand for the service animal as it always goes down, but they refused. They treated us as if we had the plague instead of a well-being service animal. The food tasted like it came from a frozen banquet box. I ordered the lobster tacos and found only a piece of lobster in three tacos and don't think it was real. Tea was terribly watered and food was cold when it came to the table. The waiter wasn't friendly. We haven't been in this restaurant for many years because of a bad experience in the past, but decided to try it again. We definitely don't go back. Managers and waiting staff were not friendly. Bar Mäzen looked like a bunch of homeless people. Too bad someone else didn't buy this restaurant and turned it into something special. We eat twice a week in the restaurants of Santa Fe and love to go to locally owned and run restaurants. Everyone knows us, love and welcome our service dog, but this is not one of them.
Eating is garbage. Sitting at the bar is better. Dining room is ugly. Outside is very pleasant and you can bring your dog. Servers are great. Bartenders vary: One hour makes a killer Silver Coin, the other guy, Levi, makes a margarita that tastes like it came from a soda fountain, and he lacks charm as a bartender. Charm is necessary. That means I won't stop coming back. It's around the corner of me and I have come since 2002.
I met my best friend for lunch on Saturday. The grill was not crowded, and we had great service and a delicious grilled shrimp and avocado salad. It was so great to pick up and not put under pressure to go in a hurry. Wonderful southwest ambience!
We have been getting takeout from here regularly for the past two years. It has been hit or miss on if they actually do bring us our food curbside or if we end up having to pick it up after waiting 10-15 minutes. At least the food is tasty. Today was the last straw, though. After waiting for 15+ minutes with a long line of cars for pickup and nobody coming out with the food, my husband was harassed by a staff member for wearing a mask when he walked inside, then claimed it was a joke. You do not joke about that, ever. We will not be going back.
