If you're unsure about what to order, I've got you covered: go for the #1, which comes with one slider, one zart, and fries. Skip the sides because they all have a similar taste. If you're looking to amp up the spice, consider adding the spicy mirror to the slider, as the pickles will tone down the heat a bit. Breaking the spices down is quite simple.
This restaurant offers a great experience that can stand shoulder to shoulder with Howling Rays, yet both have their unique qualities that set them apart. Dave consistently delivers on tenderness and a flavorful spice coating. If you’re wondering what to order, I’ve got you covered: go with the #1 – one slider, one zart, and a side of fries. Skip the sides because they all taste similar. If you prefer a spicier kick, just know that the spice level can be adjusted, as the pickles can tone down the heat of the sandwich. Don’t worry; it’s easy to find your preferred spice level.
Always inquire about the prices and double-check your change, as well as your calculations. The food rates about 3 out of 5; it can be a bit greasy and occasionally lacks flavor.
Still my favorite taco place in OC, despite some issues with consistency and the increase in price over time. I've never seen it busy, so please stop by and give them a shot so they can stay alive haha. There's plenty of street parking and a paid lot across the street (free on Sundays). I recommend the al pastor tacos, as they're almost always good. The carne asada can be hit or miss but it's often the second best option. Everything else is decent, but skippable. The mulitas are decent if you're looking for a cheesy taco sandwich, the wings are forgettable, and the churros are merely above average. Through my years of coming here, I actually haven't tried their quesadillas, so I can't really comment on those. The salsas you MUST try are the avocado (light green, creamy consistency with a bit of spice) and the orange (mostly spice, guessing it's made with habanero). Honestly, these salsas are probably the best thing about TCW. Full disclosure: I've been going here pretty much since it opened, back when it was located next to a car wash on Bristol. Just haven't taken the time to review it in the past.
All newly remodeled concert venue. Great place to see a show.
