Our room was pretty far down the hallway. I didn’t care for that. The room felt slightly dated in the bathroom. And dungeon like. The beds were super comfy and sheets were soft. The mini fridge for drinks but the coffee maker didn’t work. The amenities are awesome. The pool with a slide for the kids. Boring pool for the adults. Even a splash pad further back. We threw horseshoes, swam and roasted marshmallows by the few fires on the property. We hope to be back and spend more time here. No
This place is a little piece of heaven! Romantic, safe, and calming yet exciting, considering all the fun things you can do on and around the premises. Service is great, the staff is professional and responsive, the food is great, and the scenery is beautiful. Will keep coming back!
I cannot say enough good things about this resort! If you're looking for a place to get away from the city/suburbs, yet not be too far away, Tamaya is where you want to be. A friend and I flew into Albuquerque and stayed here on our way up to Colorado, and we had the best time. Our room was comfortable. The view was beautiful. The staff were friendly. The dining options were delicious. We enjoyed biking the trails (all the way down to the horse stables), taking a bread making class, sampling different breads, butters, and jams at the bread buffet, and relaxing in all of the pools. The vacay vibes here are immaculate.
Hate to have to leave a crummy review but on account of a somewhat miserable experience figured it was appropriate. Booked a room was asked if I wanted mountain views or for 20$ more I could have poolside . I sprung for the pool side and upon check in asked and was reassured that I was on the pool and although the pool closed at 10pm I would have access on account of my upgraded room. Got to my room to discover that I faced a grass lawn no pool in sight but plenty of kids running around. I called to inquire about the miss understanding (misrepresentation) only to be met with abrupt and extremely rude delial of what was discussed and expected. I was also informed that the pool was closed to everyone at 10pm. To add insult to injury the front desk staff started yelling over me on the phone and as I told them to not talk over me threatened to hang up on me. I then asked for manager and was put on hold until I finally walked to the front desk to deal with it in person. Manager was nice but offered nothing but a change of room, no refund of the upcharge etc. I canceled my room and requested a full refund. We were prepared to spend well over 1K in the hotel for room a nice dinner and drinks but instead we left, night ruined on account basic hotel hospitality misunderstanding resolution being so terrible and the front desk staff being so hostile we could not recover a positive feeling about the place. I have traveled the world and never had any hotel staff speak to me with such disrespect. Good luck to you guys...Noteworthy details: Terrible staff
I had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort Spa. The hotel is full of beautiful indigenous art and has a small museum that was very interesting to visit. The trails in the back of the hotel provided me with the opportunity of walking while meditating in a slow pace, a much needed experience. Also, the Spa is amazing!
