Nice people vibe, yet it’s an LA chain restaurant in Montecito? Two times, two years apart, I ordered the burger. Both times it was served raw. Cold inside the patty type of raw. Not cooked except for about 2 seconds kind of raw. The first time, the server informed me that they serve all their medium-rare orders raw-rare, that it is something that is particular to their restaurant, their identity! Then, when I got the same thing again, 2 years later, they did apologize. I think they just have a cook staff who can’t be professional enough to time the cooking of the meat, while managing all the other orders in the kitchen. On the Coast Village Road, there a few, or more, restaurants that serve mediocre food. Lots of that is due to the volume of orders seems too much for the people they employ as cooks. Not sure if the chefs of these places are tasting the food on a regular basis either. Am bummed, because I like this place and the outdoor seating, the vibe. But I can’t find much to order. And if a hamburger is their thing, it may not be cooked as ordered. My orders weren’t really cooked at all. (They may not have any gluten-free choices also? That’s something my friend said.
We love this place and come here often. The only downside to it at all is that it’s too popular, but we eat early.
Had cocktails outside by the fireplace. Delightful server and good pours!
Being an old school food and beverage professional my experience at Honor Bar was AMAZING. Devin, our exceedingly classy and beautiful bar tender delivered amazing service. For the first time ever- my martini class was exchanged for a new chilled vessel. WHAT? Damn girl- you had me at chilled martini glass. Thank you for your commitment to the ultimate customer experience. Please come to Seattle and share your grace!
