Hostel La Ballena Backpacker

Beautiful and cute hostel! I am here several times and will not change the place to stay the next time I visit Las Galeras! It is super clean, many beautiful details and warm. The location is perfect, near the beach and in the center of the city. Wonderful place. 100 percent recommended!

The perfect place. Nice and you will meet amazing person there. Gadi thank you for your time being my friend. We stayed three nights at the hostel. This is a very good price for value. The room was nice and clean. The bed had a mosquito net that was very helpful as many mosquitoes sneak through cracks over the door and windows into the room. The private bathroom was also very clean, but is not completely a separate room (there is no door at the entrance). The hostel also offers laundry services for a 300 DR Pesos fee. We used this opportunity to get our clothes washed and were very satisfied with the service. There is a small but clean common kitchen tow a refrigerator where you can prepare some simple meals. There is also a nice community room next to him. The location of the hostel is great (walking to Playa Playita, Playa Las Galeras, Boca Chica). The Guagua of Las Terrenas can drop you right next to the hostel, you just need to ask the driver in time to stop the van. One minute walk is also where the 5.30am direct bus stops to Santo Domingo. Below the hostel is a small (but quite expensive) shop, a lady who sells local products and a very nice and affordable restaurant (see During our stay the hostel was very quiet and everyone respected the rule without using kitchen after 11 o'clock. There were some Bachata music from the restaurants/bars nearby, but the hostel has nothing to do with it. If you need a very quiet accusation, you should see more at the outskirts of Las Galeras.

Great place for backpack tours and short stays. It is close to many places and 2 beautiful beaches plus the service is excellent. If you ask for Gardy, she's an ex-CELLENT HOST.

Great place,the owner bárbara Is avery polite AND they treat us líke family. Alexander Is a Great host ,he provide a very good customer experience by explaining every details un the area. Keep in mind that its a place build thinking in the nature of the area,its Is build by natural woods AND art deco. It Is a hostal no a hotel,ir ir are passing by to check the area it Is a good placer to stay. Good price,low budget that allows you to save money to b spend in the locals restaurants and the locals tours.. I pay 28 .00 dollars for a doble bed room.if you want breakfast its only for 4 dolllars extra. Internet include AND a Dancing clases sesión,they speak italiano,french,creol,english AND spanish.
