La Plantacion - Santa Barbara de Samana

Amazing place. quiet and quiet with a beautiful pool and yard. the owner let us take the many mangos that fell from the mango trees on the plot. just a minute walk to the beach...love this place!!!

Great place to stay, it was surrounded by fruit trees. The rooms were cheap. Breakfast was amazing (especially the cheese and the fruit smoothes liked) and Remi the owner is a big guy and very welcoming.

My wife and I were here in March 2014. Remi offers rooms with and without air conditioning, but with the breeze and cool nights it is not necessary in March. Great place to stay in a small town before the beaten path. The rooms were clean and Remi (the owner) was very helpful. He can eat big places as well as pay fair prices for various excursions and activities in the area. The pool was clean, but with the beach just a few minutes walk we really did not use it. He offered breakfast every morning for a small fee. Breakfast consisted of bread, juice and a selection of coffee or tea. Last night he brought us and some more guests to the restaurant of his friend at the top of a cliff for dinner. the food was amazing and the experience was even better. We could watch Buckelwale from outside the restaurant.

Excellent hotel- beautiful, private, well maintained gardens and pool and exceptionally appealing owners who are very welcoming. Very recommended!

Stayed here for one night with 5 friends within reservations. No problem for Remi the French owner. He welcomed us with some cold bottles presidente. The place looks like an.ancient roman empire palace. Verry cool place. Also a good breakfast the next day.
