Gil was really great at explaining the different types of Portuguese breads and pastries. I had the hardest time choosing whether to eat the original or cinnamon sweet bread last. I'll be back. :
Very friendly staff! More importantly the products are absolutely delicious! I making this my monthly stop!
My Portuguese family is from the Azores and it is very hard to find authentic sweet bread in California. We usually ship from back east. But now we are in heaven. This is the real deal. The best I've had in a long time!!!
I've been going to this bakery ever since I was little. Since day 1 I fell in love with the sweet bread. The other day I swung by because I was craving sweet bread and an almond tart. They had the sweet bread but no almond tarts. Since they didn't have any they said they would bake a couple for me that I could pick up the next day. As a nice gesture Gil only charged me for one. The next day I came in the morning and unfortunately they weren't ready. Gil felt bad and offered to drop them off personally at my house. He also refunded my money. I thought that was so nice of him to do. No one has done that for me. It's something I'll never forget. Gil cares about his customers and wants them to be happy. I was happy to eat those tarts after many years of not having them. I'll definitely continue to come back. I love Portuguese bread!
