El Palomar Santa Cruz

The restaurant has a dim atmosphere for dinner, making it a cozy spot for couples (I struggled to read the menu). The bar area, however, is much brighter thanks to skylights and is filled with a lively crowd of young people enjoying drink specials. It’s also an excellent choice for lunch, offering great specials and fresh Mexican dishes.

The food was excellent! However, we encountered issues with the seating staff and our waiter. Initially, they wouldn't seat us, but eventually changed their minds, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Once we were seated, the waitress seemed a bit spacey. While she was friendly, she didn't really attend to our needs. Interestingly, the busboy was much more attentive, making sure we had plenty of refills and chips and salsa.

The carne asada was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, but the beans were just mediocre.

The restaurant has quite large servings. We ordered chips salsa and guacamole and by the time the food had arrived everyone was already full. Other than that it was great! Their special pork tamales are delicious.

The restaurant is dark for dinner had a hard time reading the menu, so it is perfect for couples. the bar is brighter with obese lights and many young people and drinks specialties. also for lunch good specialties and fresh Mexican dishes.
