Gilda's - Santa Cruz

Good seafood, generous portions. one of us had the sauteed laughs and liked it; one had the white mussel catheter and liked it very much; one had the krab Louis salad (served in an iceberg salat bowl and loved it. I had the crumb cakes that were large, delicious, and almost completely crawled (yummy,) but they were quite salty and had numerous pieces from inside crumb dish in them, so they take small bites and chew carefully. through the inner crab shell I mean that they had removed almost the entire thick, obvious, outer crab shell and the less obvious, non digestible, not ugly, hard, thin, almost invisible parts of the crab shell had missed. except that it was great!

I adore the daily specials at this restaurant! The quality is excellent and the staff is fantastic. I have been a regular customer here for years. It's our favorite spot on the waterfront.

The good: the meal was very good. the shrimp/cratt of my lady louie was very good as my surfing and shaking. our table of witwe offers an excellent view of a lighthouse and cowells beach. the bathroom: the floor was a chaos. at all places the carpet was strongly colored and needed vacuum. the service was slow. appetizers and cocktails were released simultaneously with the entreen.

The waitress was lovely, but the restaurant is quite old-fashioned. I am giving it only 3 stars because I ordered scrambled eggs and received over easy eggs instead. My husband ordered over medium eggs, but they were more like over hard eggs. I ended up sharing my runny yolk with him by cutting off the gooey whites, and I even took one of his overcooked eggs. It wasn't the worst experience, but it surely wasn't the best.

We had to wait about 12 minutes to sit, but we were recognized and the service was good after. excellent day salad with crab meat. and 14.95 prime rib on Wednesday plus cartoffel, sweet, salat with it.) this restaurant is an old school, but I visit here for the sake of clarity and eating. separate small bar from the lobby.
