The lemon cookies are as amazing as the chocolate chip cookies. They have cold milk to buy, too. They're open late, and there's always a short line because they're a Santa Cruz institution.

Good cookie place, but last time going by, they are closed for renovations. Not sure when they will reopen.

The cookies are good but the service was not... Me and my partner came in to buy a few cookies to take for the road and as we were standing there waiting for someone. all you could hear are the employees arguing on who was going to serve us . Finally after one of them decided to serve us he was extremely unprofessional and did not make us feel welcomed.

The subway cookies taste so much better. I got peanut butter, chocolate chip, cherry bomb, snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip. I got the half a dozen for $8, it's .95 to have half of it dipped in chocolate. The cherry bomb is supposed to be a sugar cookie but tastes more like a butter cookie. It was the perfect softness though and wasn't crumbly. The peanut butter cookie was hard and crumbly and turned into a powder pretty much when I bit into it. It wasn't really peanut-buttery either and that could be from it being over baked. They are pretty thick as well, not necessarily a bad or good thing. Depends on what you prefer. The chocolate chip was also hard, but the flavor was about right. Not too sweet, not too many chips. Dr. Midnight-triple chocolate: not overly chocolatey, but the consistency was not right at all. I know cookies are dry, but this cookie was dry and hard. Definitely need to soak this one. The young lady who helped us was really sweet and was knowledgeable about the cookies. We came on a Sunday around noon and it was fairly busy, but not overwhelming. They had a good stock of cookies and were putting more out when we were ordering.

Can't go wrong with this little hidden gem ...deliciously made for decent price cookies
