Didn’t speak when we ordered food and just placed bottles on the table. When food arrived it was cold. When we told the waitress she just took it back without an apology or nothing. Told her we wanted the bill and was just left there waiting. Ended up having to go to the bar to ask for the bill. Not a nice place. Good views If the mount Teide but that’s it
We went here after our trip to the top of Teide on a recommendation of a friend. Turns out the restaurant changed hands or chefs (or both) and is now utterly disgusting. We live in Tenerife off and on and have visited many, many restaurants, some good and some not so much, but this was the WORST experience we have EVER had with food in Spain. The food was SO BAD that none of us has finished any of it, and even our two dogs refused to eat it. One of the reasons we wanted to go to this place was their terrace with a view of Teide. Although, we were told terrace is closed and food is not being served up there, weird, but ok. We ordered pork steak, prawns in garlic, soup and chicken salmorejo. None of the food was even remotely edible. The soup was cold and tasteless, so watered down and bland that my husband barely touched it, and he was starving. The chicken was dry and again, flavorless, I don't think they even salted it, it had absolutely zero flavor. The gambas al ajillo (prawns) were so overcooked, they were crispy and rubbery at the same time. It is really, really hard to spoil prawns in garlic, a typical Canarian dish, but those were so bad, that I could only manage to swallow one and gave the rest to the dogs. The worst dish was the pork. It was soaking with oil and the oil was so old, and probably used so, so many times in the fryer that it had a super bitter taste. It was disgusting. Even the dogs refused to eat the pork, and they are not very picky with their food. After telling the waiter the food was horrid we still had to pay almost 40 euros for it, which was outrageous. If you are thinking of eating near Teide, avoid this restaurant at all cost, you will be better off hungry.
I stop here before we go to the crater of the volcano here in Tenerife. Friendly staff. The facility in good.
Good service and very good food. good advice of the waiters. good food typical Canaria. recommended 100
There is not a lot of eateries in Teide National Park. Actually 3 I think (that are open in August) and we visited 2 (Parador and Bamby). Neither is worthwhile but they benefit from tourists that stay during the day in the Park. We ordered 2x the house menu: salad, steak, fish, potatoes and dessert. We did not expect a lot for 14 euro each but this was a low-point. Salad: small, brown leaves, tasteless. Fish: tasteless piece of something in onion sauce. Potatoes cold, strange color and no sauces. Steak with fries was at least eatable. Dessert: no idea what that was. So terribly bad that we send it back asking if we can get something different. That was a little pack of vanilla ice cream covered with lots of ice crystal’s. Did they care: not at all. Terrible food.
