After 10 min I asked again since we had our two kids with us and then she said the table had paid their bill but they had not left yet. At 7:20 I asked again, but this time the manager or owner and he was very sweet and went to check it out for me. At 7:30 we were finally seated but you know how challenging it can be when you have kids and it’s passed their dinner time. The staff apologized for the waiting and the service was good from that point on. The appetizer (foie gras) was delicious and main dishes were good, especially the duck that my husband had. Pasta for the kids was ok. We didn’t have time for dessert as the kids were extremely tired. I’d go back but recommend that the hostess (the young lady) is more attentive to the customers. There was another couple there that had a reservation for 7pm as well and was only seated around 7:25. I even saw her answering the phone and saying she would put the person on hold, but she wouldn’t pick up the phone again and after minutes she would simply hang up. Probably the person did it first after waiting for so long… She seemed helpless and was just walking around the place without any clear role and couldn’t answer any questions when other people asked about their tables…
Family and I dined in on a Friday, and the food was fantastic. The drinks (Spanish GT and Margarita) were creative and flavorful. It was probably the best GT I’ve had in town. Lobster Bisque was perfect sized and the Steak Frites was also a good sized, well seasoned and tasty. Desserts were amazing as well. I had the Pot de Crème, and family shared the Creme Brûlée and Berry Crisp. However, we were sat at a table in the middle of a walkway in the dining room. My dad and brother kept getting bumped into by staff and patrons throughout the night. It slightly dampened the experience for us, especially since we spent so much money. Our server was great and staff were attentive and friendly despite being busy. Everything was awesome, and , if they would just take out a table or two and the dining room it wouldn’t feel as cramped.
We were so disappointed in the food, just not what I have experienced in French dining. But everything else was great.
Louis now offers a take out menu for pick-up no delivery service) The online special menu is condensed from the main in house menu, but a seasonal Prix-Fix Fall 2023) which I ordered. EXCELLENT. However, I highly recommend you dine in as the delicate flavors need to be savored freshly served from the kitchen. That, combined with the ambiance of the restaurant is the fulfillment of the culinary experience. Louis ' Lobster w/corn bisque is uniquely desirable. Actually, there is care drizzled on all the offerings. Friendly quick service in a pace with great ambiance. Good timing from ordering to entree to desert and billing perfectly timed. All courses are very nicely prepared and presented. Taste is uptown without uptown prices. Chef Louis Moskow oversees the kitchen and the dining room quite actively and efficiently!
We had the holiday-prix repair for silvester, and it was fantastic. eating was so rich that I couldn't finish what made me sad because it was so good. some of the best crabcakes I cost, and a great steak. good price. our waitress, ari, was kind and attentive. highly recommended.
