Santa Fe Espresso Co: Häagen-dazs Ice Cream

Absolutely disappointing. The service was extremely subpar. I noticed the staff didn’t wear gloves and even leaned into the ice cream cooler. To make matters worse, they only accepted cash and didn’t take credit or debit cards, forcing us to leave without being able to pay. It's hard to believe how someone could manage a business in such a careless way.

They only accepted cash, but I only had my debit card with a chip, which they wouldn't take either. When I inquired about a nearby ATM and asked if I could be served immediately upon my return, she declined. I requested an exception, but she still said no. Although I was growing impatient, I remained professional throughout the situation.

This restaurant could use some improvement. While there was a young woman who was friendly and polite, the two men working with her were quite rude and confrontational. I was taken aback. Perhaps it would be a good idea to assign the two men to a janitorial role and see if the young woman has any friends who are looking for a job. I don’t go out for ice cream to deal with individuals who can't manage their tempers.

In the middle of a pandemic, despite state requirements, staff are wearing neither masks nor gloves. This complete disregard for the health of others is abhorrent and I encourage everyone to find another ice cream shop. This business doesn't deserve your money.

When walking around exploring Santa Fe Plaza, stop in here for a coffee or ice cream. We visited on 8/5/19 between museum and gallery visits. That day they had ?Buy a pastry $3), get an 8oz coffee free?. It was delicious. There is extra seating in the back. The place was clean and the front doors were open allowing the lovely fresh air to permeate. Highly recommend
