Santa Flavia Palermo

Just a stunning place, too bad people are stupid and there’s too much trash on the beach, There’s two sides where you can enjoy the sun, and dive into the water, only one is full of trash though

Just been on a lovely boat excursion with Sandro of Santa Flavia, near Palermo. Several hours, with 6 or 7 stops for a good swim or snorkel. From Sant'Elia to close to Aspra, back to Scoglie de Formiche and to Castello de Solunto. Sandro showed us the history, flora and fauna! Thank you. Phone him on 333 679 3039.

Can hardly recommend as the village is dirty and everywhere rubbish can be seen. We walked around a couple of eating places but mostly fish as a port. In my opinion it does not live up to the reviews or places to visit. Must have been a lively place at one time but not now sadly

We stayed at the Villa Cefala see separate review) Its next to Casteldaccia and Bagheria The beaches are not great but if you look at the restaurant reviews you will find some exquisite places to eat but you need a car to get around them First lesson is Italian drivers are certifiably insane As long as you realise this then you can get around no problem In short it's not a pretty pretty area but god the food is good

Only a small town but handy for supermarket and other shops. Best for rail station which we used a lot to get to Palermo and Agregento.
