Baan Thai - Santa Maria

The service is order -your-own via mobile and you don’t have a server except when they bring your food. It’s an introvert dream! Disposable utensils and plates and everything comes ready to go home if you have extra.Water at the ready for free other drinks are all little pricey and their overall prices are a bit up there but so worth it.Everything came out at the right time and the food was delicious!

Thought I would give this place a try as I always go the same Thai place down the road. Won’t make that mistake again. Waited 45 minutes for my order to go. Food was cold and had to go back for part of the order they missed. The food was congealed. The Orange Chicken tasted like it had ketchup on. Wish it was better.

This place is a hidden gym! Service is fast, price vs serving size ratio is great, taste hits the spot! I’m coming back for sure!

Staff was very nice and receptive. Chow Mein noodles seemed overcooked, combination fried rice had one small shrimp in the whole order! Don’t think we will return, we are new to the area and are looking for some good Thai food!

We are first time customers we picked up an order to go. We started off with the small combos as a taste test before we committed to full on entrées. The small combos that we ordered were the perfect size for us, and were reasonably priced. The food was very good. Everything was tasty and fresh. Not all Thai food restaurants are the same so for us it’s been kind of difficult to find a Thai food restaurant local to Santa Maria that we really like and we’ll go back to. For us, the true test of a good Thai food restaurant is its yellow chicken curry. This curry was the perfect balance between sweet and spicy and I like the way they cut The carrots and the potatoes. The fried rice was fresh, and just the right amount of ingredients, tasty, and it was not dry. I was really surprised however, at the orange chicken I expected to get just some so so chicken nuggets that were may be kind of dry with a too tangy of a sauce but I was very pleasantly surprised that the chicken nuggets were fresh they were still tender. They weren’t tough or dry, and the seasoning for orange chicken was just right, very very tasty. The restaurant was immaculately clean, and the service was friendly and helpful. We’re so happy we found Baan Thai.
