Barney's Gourmet Hamburgers

I am conflicted on Barney’s. On the one hand, I thought the food was delicious and very visually appealing as well. On the other, service wasn’t very friendly, and the prices are high. I wasn’t sure what to rate it, but the taste and enjoyment of the food led to me giving it a higher rating. Barney’s is a food stand in the Brentwood Country Market, a very cute area with lots of small shops and grocery stores, as well as other food stands/cafes. Some of them only take cash, although Barney’s will accept cards. I was disappointed with the service that I received from the cashier. I felt as though she wasn’t friendly at all, and very impatient and slightly rude. We were handed a pager and had to wait about fifteen minutes for the food to be ready, which was a bit long, but not too bad. The food itself I thought was incredible! The burger was one of the most visually pleasing and aesthetic burgers I’ve ever seen I got the one with avocado, and it was a perfectly complement to the patty. I also loved the fries here! The portions are very generous as well, and will definitely leave you walking away very full! Again, the prices here are definitely marked up for its location in a wealthy area, but I still enjoyed the meal here, and thought the food was delicious and had great quality to it. Overall, I feel I would recommend this place, since the food was so pleasing.

The food is incredible, as always. It's worth the price for a treat every now and then. The sweet potato fries are fantastic as well!

The line was long, but that just goes to show how good the place is. I had a fantastic club sandwich. Just a heads up—make sure to ask for condiments since they're not included on the sandwiches; you'll have to add them yourself! The fresh iced tea was also a nice touch. To-go orders were packed well. Overall, I really liked this place. I gave it 4 stars mainly because of the long wait, but that wasn't entirely their fault. Just keep that in mind!

This is one of my top three favorite burger spots in Santa Monica and my number one choice in the southern part of the city. Their burgers are thick, meaty, and juicy. The fries are fresh, perfect in their balance of crunchiness and potato softness (I recommend the garlic fries, but maybe avoid close conversations for a bit afterward!). And I can't forget to mention their shakes – they are an absolute must-try! The service is quick and friendly, and parking is quite manageable. Definitely give this place a shot; you won’t be disappointed!

We were looking for a place to eat and drove away, saw transport trains and thought why not. what a pleasant surprise. we had a cold dog and a cheeseburger with a big frit between them. there was a bit of a sneak to serve, but it was during a difficult lunch. the food was fresh and delicious. there is a small parking space around the back, which is very accessible here. great search in a hurry.
