They don't have dedicated fryers or waffle-makers for gluten-free items, meaning that everything is contaminated. And we only learned that through follow-up questions. This was very disappointing since this was the main reason for traveling to this restaurant. And the experience was otherwise nice. The service was good and the atmosphere is a warm one. Just be very wary if you have any allergies.
Bru Wiffle is not just a breakfast place for chicken and waffles. I actually love their GRAIN BOWL: farro, barley, bell peppers, spicy crispy chickpeas brussels sprouts, kale, cucumber, feta, dill, avocado, lemon juice $18.95. If you love flavorful veggies On my recent visit my friend and I shared their EGGS BENEDICT smoked salmon, crispy chicken, or canadian bacon vegetarian eggs benedict portobello, tomatoes, spinach on mini waffles, english muffin or croissant with breakfast potatoes or mixed greens $21.95. This was the BEST tasting eggs benedict! We always choose to sit outside in their back patio dog friendly too), however there are flies to deal with. Inside the noise level is difficult to have a conversation, so sitting outside is my recommendation. There are several other menu items that look yummy! The staff is always very attentive, fast and polite. The prices are normal for this area, but I do think they are a bit on the pricey side. I would estimate around $30 per person.
Conveniently located on Wilshire with plenty of street parking, this brunch place offers pretty standard fares. We were seated and attended to promptly and were impressed by the lady who was managing the place she was quick, warm and very active! Waffles are popular in this place and almost everyone around us got the fried chicken and waffles. We got the Belgian chocolate waffle and it tasted very average. we also felt that the quantity was tiny for the pricing and the place. Everything vegetarian on the menu seemed a bit overpriced for the quantity and the place. It could be different for meat eaters though.
Good food and easy to bring kids and grown ups alike.
Delicious food and good sized portions. The brus French toast was huge with fruits and peanut butter. The chai latte was one of the best chais I've had.
