Farmer's Market Downtown - Santa Monica

This farmers market is a gem, located just a short walk from the ocean. Conveniently situated right by where I was staying, it's open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I enjoyed the ocean view at this restaurant. They offer organic papayas for you to plant seeds and co-create new papaya plants that bear fruit locally.

There’s a lot of selection here although they do sell meat and cheese and milk and eggs.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is lovely. The seasonal veggies are nice and fresh, but the prices are a bit high.

I shop at Santa Monica's Wednesday Farmer's Market often. There's so much offered, including lots of vendors selling fresh fruit and vegetable including organic producers, healthy breads, fresh flowers, dates, nuts, sprouts, potted herbs plants, and an array of specialty foods. Most stands give out free sample tastings. Can be overwhelming due to its large size but is definitely a great place to stock up on the freshest produce for the week. Park in the mall parking structures for 2 hours free or find a metered parking space on street.
